Police Blotter: Flying Kites and Urinating; Approaching Minors Near Grade School; and Dangerous Drugs

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Flying Kites and Urinating

A resident reported two men were dancing in the street, flying kites and urinating in the 1300 block of Beach Avenue at 3 a.m. Oct. 20. did not locate the suspects.

A man was charged with dangerous drugs at after police found him stumbling around with no shirt at around 4:45 a.m. Oct. 20.

Police cited a man in the 1500 block of Lakewood Ave. for making false alarms after he reported a shooting in his apartment building at around 2:30 a.m. Oct. 19. Police arrived on the scene and found no shots had been fired. The man was later released.

Creepy Strangers

Police received a call from a woman claiming a man asked her 11-year-old daughter and her friends to come home with him and have a drink in front of around 11 p.m. Oct. 21. Police were unable to locate the suspect, described as a white male in his late 30s or early 40s, wearing a tan hooded sweatshirt and walking a little white dog. The woman told police her daughter and her friends were approached a few weeks ago by another male walking a similar dog in Rosewood Park.

Hit and Skip

A resident in the 1600 block on Cordova Avenue heard a crash, and found a car on the tree lawn at 2 a.m. Oct. 21. The driver fled on foot through the backyard before police could arrive.
