The market will set up shop at the from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. offering seasonal fruits and veggies, jelly, cheese, meat, plants, coffee, honey, eggs and baked goods.

Get all that?

Christa Kraft, the event’s organizer, said the market continues to grow in popularity.

“Lakewood's increasingly walkable and bike-able downtown is the perfect environment to foster the growth of local food meeting places like the Saturday Lakewood Farmers Market and LEAF, both of which expect strong increase in awareness and attendance this year,” she said.

“The diversity of Lakewood adds so much to the fabric of the market; you'll see foodies, families and folks who are just dipping their toe into the wonderful world of vegetables.”

There will be all sorts of events and entertainment at the market, including face painting by Changin' Faces Fun; music by Apollo's Groove; art by guest artist Brian Taylor; and a chef demonstration with LFM resident chef Brian Pew, the dietary manager and executive chef at the Eliza Jennings Network at 11:30 a.m.
