Lakewood Looking for a Poet Laureate

Lakewood resident Bill Knittel has been the city poetic leader for the past two years.

Are you a poet? Do you know it? Lakewood is looking for nominations for the city’s next Poet Laureate.  Lakewood resident Bill Knittel has held the post for the past two years. According to a news release, the Poet Laureate “shall seek to advance awareness of and appreciation for literary arts and humanities within the Lakewood community.” More from the city: “As both a local resident and a distinguished poet, the Poet Laureate shall represent and celebrate the diversity and history of Lakewood. Lakewood resident Bill Knittel was recently renamed the city’s poet laureate.

Lakewood resident Bill Knittel was recently renamed the city’s poet laureate. To thank city council for the reappointment, he stopped by city hall to deliver a message of gratitude.
