What's Your Favorite Christmas Movie?

Vote in our poll and share your thoughts in the comments.

Between the made-for-TV offerings, the newbies and the annual chestnuts, there are lots of opportunities to get some holiday spirit from the comfort of your couch. Vote in our poll and share your favorites in the comments! Do you need some modern humor, like Elf, or are you hooked on classics like It's a Wonderful Life and White Christmas when it comes to Christmas movies? Which variation of A Christmas Carol has you wishing for roast goose and plum pudding, Alastair Sim's version or Scrooged? Share your Cute (and Scary) Photos with Santa!

Spread some Christmas magic (or laughs) by sharing those adorable (or scary) pictures of kids sitting on Santa's lap here!

There's something magical about seeing the look in a child's eyes when they peer into Santa's.  Or—it's the look of fear and terror.  Let's face it, sometimes the trip isn't as pleasant as we all imagined. Either way, share some of the Christmas fun by posting your latest pictures of children sitting on the big man's lap. If there are enough submissions, the top photos will be shared in another story!  Take a look at some photos shared on creepysantaphotos.com, for a good laugh or a shiver.  To post your own photo, click "upload photos and videos" at the top of this story.

5 Holistic Tips to Cope with Holiday Blues

Dealing with stress or feelings of loneliness this holiday season? The Cleveland Clinic's wellness coordinator gives simple ways to beat the holiday blues.

“Fitness, nutrition, mind, body and spirit are all connected,” said Hillcrest Employee Wellness Coordinator and RN, Rose Hosler. She suggests five, low- to no-cost ways that improve overall well-being and keep stress levels in check. 1. Take Time to Breathe: Sit quietly for one minute, breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth. You could do this while driving to and from work, before sitting down to eat, or at bedtime. The Benefit: Research shows taking deep breaths four times a day improves cognitive function by 20 percent. “Just step back. When you pause to take a deep breath, it calms your mind and body,” said Hosler. For emotional and physical benefits, she suggests breathing deep four times a day. 2. Use Aromatherapy: …

Fruitcakes You'll Want To Eat: What is Your Favorite?

Fruitcakes, like mother-in-laws, have a negative stereotype. But that doesn't mean they're all bad.

My husband is a connoisseur of fruitcakes.  What's that you say? He must have a cast-iron stomach because fruitcakes are usually inedible? Well, he may have a cast-iron stomach, but it's unrelated to his love of the candied fruit of a fruitcake. Although, I must say that I gasped in horror the first time I saw my husband open up a Christmas gift from his mother and it was a fruitcake. And it wasn't just any fruitcake. It was a Collin Street Bakery fruitcake. It's one of his favorite gifts.  Every time my husband gets one and jokes about how he's going to eat the whole thing in one sitting. And every time he says that, my mother-in-law always reminds him how expensive it is. Fruitcakes, the good ones, aren't that hard to find, are they? If …

Sadly, I don't have the old family recipe, made by my first husband''s grandmother. But, I think the main secret was that she baked it in early October, wrapped it in cheesecloth and doused it about every week till Christmas with brandy. Anything would probably improve with this treatment!   more ›
