WOIO, WUAB Cable Blackout Ends

Ending a four-day blackout on the TV stations, Cox Cable and Raycom reached an agreement.

Cox Cable and Raycom — the company that owns WUAB and WOIO  — have reached an agreement, ending a four-day blackout on the Cleveland TV stations. A Cox Cable spokeswoman told the Plain Dealer that channels 19 and 43 are now available to all 65,000 of its subscribers in Northeast Ohio — including thousands in Lakewood. Lakewood residents looking to watch TV shows such as NCIS were disappointed to learn the COX Cable had dropped WOIO, the local CBS affiliate, from its channel lineup on Tuesday.  But the channel will be back up for the NFL playoffs.
