Joanne Williams, who recently retired from Lakewood City Hall after nearly 19 years of service, died on April 6. She was 68 years old. Williams, a longtime Lakewood resident, was remembered by her friends and colleagues as warm, friendly and hard-working. “I had the opportunity to work with her for the past seven years since I’ve been here,” said Jenn Pae, the city’s finance director. “She was very dedicated and very hardworking person who cared deeply about her job.” “She will be greatly missed,” Pae added. “My thoughts go out to her family and friends." (nee Girard); loving father of Jeanine Johnson and Rob (Heather); grandfather of Michael, Veronica and Jessica Johnson and Morgan Kopacko of PA.; great grandfather of one; step-father of Julie Warmuth (Ron), Lisa Kelley (Ken) and grandfather of Dena and Justin Warmuth and Katie and Bryan Kelley; brother of Shirley Rostocil, Rita Cavalier and the late Rosalie Gullacci, Albert, Carmen, Joseph and Aldo Fanara. Wenzel Gerhart, 59, of Cleveland, passed away on March 20. Gerhart was the beloved husband of Rose; dad of Ryan, Nanci (Jeff) and Michelle (Dan); grandpa of Kaitlyn, Alexis, Alyssa, Michael, Jacob and Anna Grace; brother of Will (Nancy), Andy, John (Lois), Mary, Bernie (Debbie Deceased), Margie, Doris (David), Elroy (Patty), Dennis (Theresa) and the late Rick, Christopher and Gloria; son of the late Josef and Ursula, according to zmfh.com. Craig Paul Steiner died Thursday at his Lakewood home. He was 23 years old. The native of Avon Lake enjoyed traveling and had a goal to visit every one of the 50 States, he also enjoyed playing video games. He was an animal lover having a unique bond with his dog, Bailey. Steiner was family oriented, he had a special place in his heart for his late grandmother Joanne Bacha, but it was his fiancé Jacki and daughter Sophia Mari that were the lights of his life.
