Timothy Spock Pleads Guilty to Plowing Through Street Festival, Killing Two Men While Driving Drunk

He faces up to 26 years in prison at his Dec. 3 sentencing.

The 35-year-old Lakewood man, who killed two people after driving his vehicle into a crowded street festival while drunk, has pleaded guilty in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. Timothy Spock, of Beach Parkway, faces up to 26 years in prison at his Dec. 3 scheduled sentencing. The July 29 crash at the Dancin’ in the Street event in Cleveland killed Lakewood resident Mitchell Andelmo and Basil Bass of Cleveland, and injured two others. Last week, Spock withdrew his not-guilty plea, and pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide; vehicular homicide; and vehicular manslaughter — all second-degree felonies. $150,000 Bond Set for Lakewood Man Accused of Plowing Into Crowd at Cleveland Festival

Timothy Spock, 34, faces charges that he drove his vehicle into a crowd at the Dancin’ in the Street event, killing one Lakewood man and injuring four others.

The Lakewood man accused of driving his vehicle into a crowded street festival was arraigned on a charge of aggravated vehicular homicide in Cleveland Municipal Court on Tuesday morning. The case against Timothy Spock, 34, of Beach Parkway, was turned over to a Cuyahoga County grand jury. His bond was set at $150,000.  He faces a second-degree felony for the crash that killed Lakewood man Mitch Andelmo, and injured four others, at the Dancin’ in the Street festival on Clifton Boulevard on Sunday night. There may be additional charges. Spock was taken into custody after he failed sobriety tests and refused to take a breath test, according to the Plain Dealer. Mitchell Guy Andelmo, 27, of Lakewood, passed away, Sunday, July 29, 2012. Mitch was born March 26, 1985 in Monroeville, PA. Mitch was a 2003 graduate of Avon Lake High School. He went on to attend the University of Cincinnati studying computer science and then transferred to Concordia University, Montreal, Canada where he studied Linguistics. Mitch played softball and baseball. He enjoyed cycling and had recently designed his own bicycle. He also had as a hobby working with computers. He was passionate about being with his family. He loved to cook and enjoy a good bottle of wine. He was described by his father as one who could make people laugh and was the most unselfish individual he knew. One Lakewood man is dead, and four others are injured, after a Lakewood man allegedly drove his vehicle into a crowd of people on Sunday. He faces charges today.

The Lakewood man suspected of driving drunk through a barricade into a crowd of people at a Cleveland street event, killing one Lakewood man and injuring four others, is expected to appear in court today.  Timothy Spock, 34, faces a charge of vehicular manslaughter after he allegedly drove his into a crowd of people at the annual street Dancin’ in the Street event on Clifton Boulevard near W. 117th Street in Cleveland.  Spock was charged on Monday afternoon with aggravated vehicular homicide and is scheduled to appear in court this morning following the death of Mitchell G. Updated 6:40 p.m. Cleveland Police have charged a 34-year-old Lakewood man in relation to a crash at the Dancin' in the Street event Sunday night that took the life of another Lakewood resident. Timothy Spock, 34, of Beach Parkway, was taken into custody July 29 following the accident that killed one and injured four others. Spock was charged on Monday afternoon with aggravated vehicular homicide and is scheduled to appear in court on at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.  A news release by Cleveland police confirmed Mitchell G. Andelmo, passed away as a result of his injuries. Andelmo, a 2003 Avon Lake High School graduate living in Lakewood, was one of five people struck by  vehicle reportedly driven by Spock Sunday night.
