Cribbs Twitter Rant: Justified? You Tell Us

Josh Cribbs used profanity in a Tweet after seeing fans bash the Browns after the 34-12 loss to the Denver Broncos. The Plain Dealer reported that he later deleted the tweet.

Everybody likes to vent and after Sunday's loss to the Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns fans weren't alone in the habit.  The fans were especially critical of Cleveland Browns Wide Receiver Josh Cribbs after a fumble and a penalty.  Cribbs had a few words to share in response on Twitter. The Plain Dealer reported that Cribbs tweeted from his @JoshCribbs16 account,  "I see all the negativity on twitter after I gave my life to this (stuff)," he Tweeted. "So 2 all u who are against me (Expletive) all y'all. I'm still gonna do me!" He later deleted the post, but continued to complain Sunday night:  "Yea I had a moment smh..... wooossssahhh aiiight man I 4got each day there are a new breed of haters out there disguised as fans!" Cleveland's Michael Symon Writes Love Letter to Hometown

Read the letter and tell us what you love about Cleveland

Chef Michael Symon, owner of Eton Plaza's B-Spot and other area restaurants, showed a little emotion and a lot of Cleveland pride in a touching love letter to Cleveland for The Huffington Post today. Raised in North Olmsted and a graduate of Lakewood's St. Edward High School, he reminisces about places all over the area: I remember when I was young and I would spend my entire weekends with you and my grandfather: heading to the Eastside and staying with my grandparents; taking the rapid Downtown; shopping at the Westside Market with all its fabulous aromas of smoked meats and baked breads. It is here I found my true love for food, for going to the historic Terminal Tower to pick up my Grandma at Higbees and heading back east to cook split …

Cleveland and the surrounding area has it all! Moved here in '96 from FL and have never looked back. You never run out of things to do, places to see, and it's beautiful too. Some areas look like Europe or New England -- charming towns with gazebos and commons. There's so much to do and the summers are glorious! Fall too! I love the sun shining on crystal snow and huge snowflakes falling! I've …   more ›

St. Edward Fundraiser Brings in $380,000

The tally is in: The annual fundraiser to raise money for prospective students’ tuition exceeded all expectations.

The final tally is in.  St. Edward High School’s fundraiser, Wings 2012: An International Celebration — seeking to raise tuition money for prospective students — brought in nearly $380,000. That’s nearly double the tally of last year’s fundraiser. The March 31 event — with its nautical theme of a cruise ship, complete with the hallways decked into the starlit night of an ocean liner — blew all expectations out of the water.  Greeted at their cars by student ambassadors, more than 540 people attended the Wings event. They came with their wallets open. They browsed and bid on an array of silent auction items. Alumni, parents and friends of St. Ed’s socialized as images of the live auction flashed across the big screens at the event. The …

Q&A With St. Edward Wrestling Coach Greg Urbas

Urbas offers insights, success stories on and off the mat.

St. Edward wrestling coach Greg Urbas has been the head coach of the Eagles for 22 years after 11 years as an assistant to the late Howard Ferguson. Urbas moved up to head coach after the untimely death of Ferguson and has kept the program on top in Ohio — and nationally. The Eagles had won 13 consecutive state titles until having that string broken last season by Wadsworth. Urbas shared some of the secrets to his success and talked about his latest squad with Lakewood Patch. Lakewood Patch: What keeps you in coaching? Greg Urbas: Seeing the wrestlers struggle as they pursue their goals. High school is an exciting time in their lives. They are coming into St. Ed's as boys and leave as young men. Our wrestlers pursue their dreams and  put …
