Man Injured After He Was Pinned Between Truck, Building

Man Pinned Between Truck, Building: A man was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center with unknown injuries after he was pinned between a U-Haul truck and a building in the 12500 block of Edgewater Drive at around 7:50 p.m. May 20. According to police, he was in the process of switching seats with the passenger when the truck — not fully parked — rolled forward. Emergency crews were able to rescue the man from under the truck. Sgt. Duane Brown said that the incident took place on private property, so no charges are expected. Lakewood Schools Hosts First Anti-Violence Forum This Week

The district's partnership with the Lakewood Police Department, the Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center and other agencies is the result of a $500,000 federal grant.

Lakewood City Schools will partner with the Lakewood Police Department, Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center and the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center to offer a community forum on anti-violence* Wednesday. The forum is the first in Ranger 360, a plan funded by a $500,000 federal grant that will increase middle school and high school student safety. More about Ranger 360 The forum will begin at 7 p.m. at Garfield Middle School. What issues do you hope will be discussed at the forum? Armed and Dangerous: Lakewood Fugitive Wanted for Drug Trafficking

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information which would lead to the capture of fugitive Dontez White.

Dontez White is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the Lakewood Police for drug trafficking and firearms offenses, according to Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force. White, 38, has a significant criminal history, officials said, and should be considered armed and dangerous. White is a black male standing approximately 5’06” and weighing 400 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. White is suspected to be hiding out somewhere in the Cleveland area. He also had a previous address near the 600 block of Willow Dr. in Euclid.
