A man was arrested in Cleveland Heights on Feb. 3 after propositioning his masseuse to have sex with him. He paid her $60 and gave her his identification before the massage was to begin, according to Cleveland Heights police. She then left the massage room. Police were responding to a rumor of a threat. The school district said there is no validity to the rumors.
Extra police officers will be at Lakewood High School today after Lakewood Police learned of a rumor about threatened violence there, a police dispatcher said. The threat, which had been spreading on social media, was that there would be a shooting at the school. Christine Gordillo, spokeswoman for the district, said the Lakewood City Schools is aware of the rumors. Police have been investigating those rumors and have not been able to find any truth to them. The superintendent and other administrators were at the building this morning to assist with drop-off and reassure parents. “We take our students’ safety very seriously,” Gordillo said. Don't be a hero. Suspects should be considered dangerous. If you recognize anyone on the list contact the Lakewood Police Department at 216-521-1234.
The Lakewood Police Department recently added a couple new people to the city's list of most-wanted people. They were chosen based on the seriousness of the charges and the likelihood they are in the Lakewood area. Suspects should be considered dangerous. Those who come into contact with the suspects are recommended not to attempt to apprehend them. “It helps (catch suspects) if people look at it,” said Lakewood Police Chief Timothy Malley said, adding that many of the suspects listed aren’t Lakewood residents. “We can’t pick and choose who commits the crimes.” If anyone has information about a suspect listed, they can contact the Lakewood Police Department at 216-521-1234 or email police@lakewoodoh.net. Callers can remain anonymous.

Andrew Martin, a nurse at the Cleveland Clinic, was charged with one count of use of an interstate commerce facility in the commission of murder-for-hire. “The investigation shows that this defendant was seeking to hire someone to kill a woman as part of a dispute over a home in Lakewood,” said Steven Dettelbach, the US attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, in a prepared statement. “Obviously, we take these threats very seriously and will prosecute this case vigorously.” Martin arrested last month after authorities say he agreed to pay a patient to kill a 79-year-old woman because she was “trying to mess up (…

After he was sent home for misbehaving, tenth-grader at Lakewood High School said he was going to return to the school and “go off.” He may now face criminal charges.
A Lakewood High School tenth-grader who was sent home for misbehaving Friday afternoon may face criminal charges after he threatened to return to the school and “go off.” Despite some rumors, there was no weapon involved in the incident. Principal Bill Wagner said the boy was sent home after he “threw a temper tantrum” just after 2 p.m. “As security was escorting the boy off campus, he made a threatening comment about coming back to the school and going off,” Wagner said, adding that that student went into a friend's house in “close proximity” to the school instead of going home. “Since the threat was not deemed credible, yet was made loudly, in anger and in the presence of others, administration called the police to help assure he did …

Here are this week's most bizarre police calls, reports and charges. All information was provided by police reports from departments in Patch communities. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. No happy ending here — A man went to a North Canton masseuse for a full-body massage, but ended up getting solicited for additional services. The man provided North Canton Police with a cell-phone recording of The Massage Center employee "soliciting sexual acts for hire along with prices and agreements/conditions," according to the report." The report did not include arrest information, but soliciting is a third-degree misdemeanor. Keep it down, please — Sometimes a Stow resident hears a variety of loud noises …
