Famed former football coach at Ohio State University and current vice president of strategic development at the University of Akron, is coming to the UA Lakewood campus on Feb. 9.

St. Edward Lineman Remains Committed to Ohio State

Kalis among top recruits for embattled Buckeyes

For much of the last year, St. Edward High School lineman Kyle Kalis has planned to play football at Ohio State in the fall of 2012. After months of speculation and scandals, and even after the recent and sudden resignation of coach Jim Tressel amid NCAA investigations, Kalis still plans to move to Columbus and play for the Buckeyes. For now, at least. According to a report Tuesday in the Lancaster Eagle Gazette, Kalis is “upset by the news” of Tressel’s resignation, though his mother declined to comment on how it would affect his recruitment, or whether he plans to open himself to another round of recruitment this late in the process.
