St. Edward Soccer Coach Tony Dore Steps Down
Longtime assistant Jim Duffy takes over.
The head coach of the St. Edward High School soccer team has resigned his post. Tony Dore, who’s led the “perennial winner” soccer program for the past 13 years, is stepping down to dedicate more of his time to his apparel business, according to a news release from St. Edward. Longtime assistant coach Jim Duffy, who teaches religious studies at the Catholic school, is expected to take the helm of the program. Dore led the Eagles to a 15-1 regular season in 2012, taking the Eagles to the regional finals for the first time in school history. “Tony Dore has done an incredible job taking the St. Edward Soccer Program to another level,” said athletic director Paul Michalko in the news release. “We are very fortunate to have a teacher and coach …
