The information is similar to the data that the Lakewood Police Department released earlier this year. Crime is on the decline in the city, and, as city officials have pointed out, most of the reports stem from property crimes — such as petty theft. In fact, of the crimes committed in Lakewood, theft was the highest reported — 795 of them were reported last year. I too, have an older home. The best investment I made which resulted in lower heating bills was new windows. upstairs and down. Drawback to Lakewood homes - small closets, sometimes just one bathroom and a 'half bath' in basement. I've always felt safe in my home, safe walking and riding a bike even at night. more ›
