Owner of Plantation Home Opening New Store in Kucinich Space
Cotton, offering high-end linens and tableware, is opening in the space occupied by US Rep. Dennis Kucinich for 20 years.
US Rep. Dennis Kucinich’s loss is David Stein’s gain. The owner of Plantation Home on Detroit Avenue is signing a lease to move into the building that most-recently housed the congressman, who’s set to leave his post at the end of the year. Stein’s new venture, Cotton, will offer high-end linens and tableware. After redesigning the space — only a little — Stein expects to open the new store in April. “We have really outgrown this space,” said Stein, who opened his home furnishings store Plantation Home nearly 11 years ago. “I need competition, so I am really going to give myself competition.
