You can't really say that "Spamalot" was ripped off from Monty Python. The screenplay wasRead More written by the surviving members of the troupe, and they clearly have the right to adapt their own material. The play isn't a ripoff; it's an adaptation.

So the deal is, it was described as "lovingly ripped off from Monty Python" by Eric IdleRead More of Monty Python who wrote the Musical. This is how he described it, not the patch....they got it from his book, or somewhere.....they didn't make the comment themselves. Where they did err, is in saying " "A new musical" because it hit Broadway in 2005 and the traveling Broadway show was in Cleveland several years ago. Hardly new......but "lovingly ripped off". :)

So the deal is, when you take a quote from someone else and use it in your story, you put quotationRead More marks around it, tell the reader who said it and indicate where you took the quote from. and credit the person who said it. That way we can look up the full quote in the book , or somewhere, rather than taking your word for it. Otherwise, you have to stand by the claim as being what YOU said. So if Eric said it, fine. But without the quotation marks, it's just Colin saying it, and he's wrong.

Let's all hope and pray this woman doesn't have a driver's license. Obviously, she is an alcoholic.Read More Is mandatory detox legal? How about a psych eval?? I hope Judge Carroll gives her the maximum sentence for what she has done. After serving the jail time she deserves, she also needs to be sentenced to court ordered AA meeting attendance. Maybe somewhere along the line, she will finally reach her bottom and decide to stop drinking before she gets in a car and kills someone.
