Lakewood City Academy is administered by the greater Lakewood board of education and since its inception in 2005 has been serving a mission to keep all students on track for graduation. The school has a digital program for students in grades K through 12 and on-site programs for students in grades 6 through 12. Total enrollment is about 140. The academy offers both college prep and career tech curricula along with dropout prevention programs. The academy also offers student clubs like the National Honor Society, a marching band and a poetry slam.
