Lakewood's Fourth of July parade stepped off to the excitement of thousands of spectators who had lined the north and south sides of Lake Road early yesterday morning.
Local shop and business owners, politicians, marching bands, costumed patriots, vintage cars and red, white and blue floats were led by and owner Mickey Krivosh, who served as this year's Grand Marshall.
Later in the evening — following a performance by the Lakewood Project at the bandstand — an estimated 30,000 people packed Lakewood Park for a fantastic fireworks show, that lasted more than 30 minutes.
