Recess Event 'Rocks' Lakewood Park
Jordan's Family Foundation's second-annual event was a big success — despite the looming thunderstorm.
At least a couple thousand people braved threatening skies — and an eventual thunderstorm — to turn into a giant playland for Sunday afternoon's Recess Rocks event.
The activity-based event feature dozens of booths for children and families to stretch their legs, get some exercise, play a few sports and learn about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
There was plenty of action.

Children waited in long lines to shoot hoops with representatives with the Cleveland Cavaliers. They also patiently waited for the bouncehouses.

There other attractions, too, that included a dunk tank, volleyball, skateboard, rollerblading, and tennis lessons.
This year, the event focused on incorporating biking into an exercise routine. Any cyclist who rode to the park received a free prize donated by the Cleveland Indians, plus free valet parking.
