Pet of the Week: Heidi

Meet Heidi, an extremely affectionate lady, with long, silky black fur that you will love to pet.

She is a young female, around a year old.

And she's looking for a home.

Adoption fees are only $35. That includes deworming medicines, initial vaccination, capstar flea pill (seasonal), a collar with identification tag, a cardboard carrier, and initial veterinarian visit with second vaccination from participating local veterinarian.

Adoption hours are from noon to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday, and from noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

The organization is asking for the public's help. The Lakewood Animal Shelter is at capacity with cats, and that means homes are needed for all of the animals — and fast. This time of year is especially difficult, because influx is high and cages are limited.
