Pet of the Week: Ducky

Meet Ducky.

This little boy will melt your heart. Ducky is a 6-month-old orange "Morris" kitty with the sweetest little meow. He likes to chatter — and loves to be pet.

He is a true companion pet.

Adoption fees are only $35. That includes deworming medicines, initial vaccination, capstar flea pill (seasonal), a collar with identification tag, a cardboard carrier, and initial veterinarian visit with second vaccination from participating local veterinarian.

Adoption hours are from noon to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday, and from noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

The organization is asking for the public's help. The Lakewood Animal Shelter is at capacity with cats, and that means homes are needed for all of the animals — and fast. This time of year is especially difficult, because influx is high and cages are limited.
