LOOK: It's a 'Starry Night' at Lakewood Hospital

Seventh-annual Starry Night event draws hundreds to Belle and Detroit avenues to raise money for the Lakewood Hospital Diabetes and Endocrine Center.

Hundreds showed up for the seventh-annual fundraiser at the corner of Belle and Detroit avenues on Friday night.

They enjoyed traditional and gourmet fare, entertainment, an eclectic mix of music and a silent auction. The crowd was led by TV personality Monica Robins who served as the mistress of ceremonies.

And with attendees shelling out as much as $125 a ticket, organizers hoped to surpass last year's total raised.

There was plenty to do, including a silent auction, raffle and a palm reader.

The kitchen staffs of the Cleveland Clinic hospitals competed in a judged contest for the best food.
