West Shore Career-Technical District Announces Outstanding Work Ethic Award Winners

Seventeen Students from Bay, Rocky River, Westlake, and Lakewood High Schools receive Outstanding Work Ethic Awards

The West Shore Career-Technical District’s 2013 Outstanding Work Ethic Award winners were honored at a breakfast at Brennan’s Catering & Banquet Center on February 22nd. The Lakewood Chamber of Commerce and the Lakewood/Rocky River Sunrise Rotary Club welcomed 75 Chamber members, Rotarians, students, parents, employers, work supervisors, and guests to the 7th annual awards event. Seventeen West Shore Career-Tech students, one representing each program at West Shore, were recognized for demonstrating professionalism, responsibility, and integrity in the workplace. 

Linda Thayer, Director of Career-Technical Education at West Shore Career-Technical District, and Patty Ryan, CEO and President of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce presented the awards to the students. They were joined by Jeff Patterson, Superintendant of Lakewood City Schools, Dr. Michael Shoaf, Superintendent of Rocky River City Schools, Nancy Ralls, Career Development Program Facilitator, and Terry Vincent, President of the Lakewood/Rocky River Sunrise Rotary Club. Each student received a certificate plus a door prize and a gift bag of items donated by local businesses.
