Bike for Beck

Get all the information on Bike for Beck and Beck Fest on May 19th at Beck Center for the Arts!

With over a hundred riders and a couple hundred more Beck Fest attendees, last year’s inaugural B4B was a fantastic success! This year, we are hoping to build on last year’s accomplishments and offer even more music, food, art, activities, and other cycling-related fun on May 19th.

The festivities will kick off with rider registration between 8-10am in the front lobby at Beck Center, where riders can also join in on warm-up stretch classes provided by the Lakewood YMCA. From there, riders can choose from 12-, 25-, and 60-mile routes through the beautiful Cleveland Metroparks and back to Beck. Snacks and water will be provided at designated stands along the bike route. For non-cyclists, the Y will offer a free Zumba dance fitness class at Beck Center (time to be announced).

Riders, their families, and the community are invited to the post-ride event Beck Fest, a day of activities celebrating arts education in the spirit of Beck's Community Celebration of the Arts. Visitors can check out all the programs Beck Center has to offer including improv comedy and dance performances and much more. Cycling enthusiasts can also check out cycling art, and meet representatives from bicycle clubs and shops.

On the entertainment front, last year’s favorites Fireside and the Revolution Brass Band will return to Beck Fest’s musical stage, joined this year by The Madison Crawl, Jerry Popiel, and Chris Hatton. This year Beck will also introduce 216-BIKE, a bicycle team who will perform demonstrations of stunts and tricks throughout the day.

Refreshments at Beck Fest come courtesy of local favorite food trucks Donutlab and Fired Up Taco Truck, and beer will be provided by Eddie and Iggy's.
