That’s when senior quarterback Aturo Morgan broke free for a 36-yard sprint to the end zone.

The Rangers continued to pour it on. Minutes later, Morgan broke free again for another rushing touchdown — this time for 41 yards.

Less than three minutes later, Morgan found junior wide receiver Capriese Jackson for a 51-yard passing touchdown.

The Rangers weren’t done yet. With 18 second to go in the half, senior running back Ben Fitchwell bruised his way into the Cuyahoga Falls end zone on a 5-yard carry.

Lakewood led 27-0 at halftime.

The Rangers added a field goal by junior kicker Jacob Antel in the third quarter and a 10-yard rushing touchdown by senior running back Devin Goddard in the fourth quarter.

Lakewood’s defense wasn’t too shabby either. The Rangers only allowed three first downs in the first half, for a total of 107 yards — but 42 of those came on a single pass play.

The Black Tigers’ first possession of the third quarter was a fumble — in fact, the Rangers’ defense held Cuyahoga Falls to 2 yards of total offense in the third quarter.

The Rangers hope to keep the hot streak going as they travel to Parma Heights next Friday to take on Valley Forge High School.
