The Rangers struck first with senior running back Ben Fitchwell’s 2-yard rushing touchdown with 8 seconds left in the first quarter.

Both teams saw their share of three-and-outs and incomplete passes for much of the contest.

The scoring drought was broken with a Normandy touchdown with 4:51 to go in the fourth quarter.

But it was Fitchwell who sealed the deal for the Rangers just moments into overtime, with a 1-yard rushing touchdown, giving the home team the lead for good.

On the next Normandy drive the Lakewood defense shut them down.
