Thanks for all of the concern. We are all safe. Such a sad day. Spectators are dead including an 8 year old. Breaks my heart. Never been so excited to get back to Cleveland.

Another native of Lakewood, Rachel Mullin, who now lives in Chicago, expressed similar sentiment on her Facebook page.

I cant express how loved and cared for we feel. Thank you to everyone for reaching out and for your extremely kind and thoughtful words. We've been advised by city officials not to congregate in public and stay indoors. Our hotel just did a head count. Boston on highest alert. A second explosion in South Boston. Two additional bombs found, but not detonated. Cell service being shut down to avoid potential other detonations. All friends we have in the city are also safe. We are hunkering down but packed and charging. Please keep the victims, their families and friends, in your prayers...Especially the Newtown family members who were by the finish. So sad!!
