Lakewood High School Diver Finishes 14th in State Tournament

A Lakewood High School junior finished 14th in the state diving tournament over the weekend.

John Liber was the second diver in two years to qualify for the state tournament. 

He recently finished in seventh-place at the recent Division 1 District competition, according to a post on the Lakewood City Schools’ website.

Liber wasn’t alone at the diving portion of the district tournament.

Jim McMahan finished in 10th place, and Soule Dimacchia finished 19th.

Last year, Michael Pearlman became the first Lakewood diver in 20 years to make it to the state tournament.
