The good news is that the Rangers played solid, with the offense scoring a field goal and pair of commanding rushing touchdowns.

He left the game, and junior quarterback Tommy Fuller filled in for the rest of the contest.

The injury could spell trouble for the Rangers, who improved their record Friday night to an impressive 5-2 on the season.

Lakewood got off to a fast start, with junior kicker Jacob Antel kicking one through the uprights three minutes into the game. Later in the quarter, junior tailback Jovon Young broke free for a 37-yard touchdown.

The game would remain 10-0 until 9:37 left in the fourth quarter, when Young again dashed into the end-zone for a 7-yard touchdown, capping a 67-yard march down the field.

The Valley Forge Patriots dropped to 0-7 with the loss.

The Rangers will return home — after two consecutive games on the road — to face Brush High School (2-5) next Friday.
