How to Get Your Sports Team Featured on Lakewood Patch

Here are several ways you can make sure your sports teams are highlighted on Lakewood Patch.

Fall sports have started and Patch wants to help you share all the exciting moments with the community, family and friends.

We are looking for athletes, coaches, parents, booster club members and fans in Lakewood who are ready, willing and able to share their team spirit on Patch. News about any team—high school, middle school, rec teams, etc.—is welcome.

Here's how to share news about your sports team:

1. Start a blog about your sports team: Share stats, recaps, photos and/or videos from the game in your own sports blog. Discuss the team, coaches and players with other fans in the community (but please keep it civil).

2. Upload pictures and video of your team to our "Pics and Clips" gallery: At the game? Did you snap an awesome photo while you were there? Catch the winning moment on video? Upload it to our community photo gallery.

3. Place events, including fundraisers, special competitions, etc., on our calendar: Want to get more fans in the stands? Hoping to fund new uniforms? Let everyone know where and when your next game or fundraiser is taking place by posting it on our free event calendar. This is also a great place to let the community know the where and when of any other special team events. Add a photo; share the excitement.

4. Connect with Lakewood Patch on Twitter and Facebook: If you have a team Facebook or Twitter account, be sure to tag us in your posts and tweets to help spread the word. You can follow Lakewood Patch on Twitter by clicking here. Or, follow us on our Lakewood Patch, where you'll find more discussions on local issues.

Need a hand? Contact editor Colin McEwen at colin.mcewen@patch.com or by phone at 216-334-6987.

We look forward to learning more about your favorite Lakewood sports team.
