BikeLakewood Initiative Rolling Along

Lakewood isn’t stopping its quest to become the most-bike-friendly city in North America.

During the past year, city leaders and volunteers with BikeLakewood have looked to grow the initiative.

Group rides have been launched; bike racks have popped up all over the city; and the organization has hosted several community events.

Now, BikeLakewood is focusing on the future of the organization.

The organization is forming a board of directors, and is expected to meet soon.

“BikeLakewood was reincarnated last fall under the leadership of Erika Durham and has been focused on making Lakewood the most bike friendly destination,” said Amanda Harland of BikeLakewood. “Over the year BikeLakewood has been working with city leaders to promote and fine tune Lakewood’s bikeability.”
