Video: Garfield Middle School Has a Good Hair Day

A dozen middle school students and a half-dozen of their teachers all got haircuts after school on Wednesday.

But they did it to help others.

Teachers at organized the event to benefit Locks of Love, an organization that provides hairpieces to disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical hair loss.

The donors were:

Students:  Tyler Binder, Mary Chudy, Ghadeer Damra, Fallon Horvath, Kailey McLeod, Mackenzie Moore, Rachael Parks, Rebecca Parks, Raney Powell, Justina Sikorsky and Tatyana Washington.

Staff:  Ms. Georgius, Ms. Newman, Ms. Stankiewicz, Mrs. Sandoval, and Ms. Street

Parent:  Mrs. Gozion (mother of student Jonathan Thompson).

And the stylists who donated their time and talents were:

Krista Adkins from Salon Bravisimo; Keith Barton from Revelations; Abby Kives from Revelations; Chritine and Miranda from Cuttin' Loose Salon.
