Perfect Attendance Gets Lakewood Students 'Fired' Up

Three students were given Kindle Fires for not missing school.

Three lucky, and devoted, Lakewood High School students got a big prize for perfect attendance in the third quarter.

Freshman Adam Giffels, sophomore Katherine Renaudin and junior Lee Mechenbier each won a Kindle Fire in the attendance incentive giveaway.

The tech giveaways are part of the high school's attendance incentive program, sponsored by Best Buy, that raffles off a prize at the end of each quarter for those students with perfect attendance.

After each quarter, Best Buy provides LHS with $1,000 to go toward the incentive program and the giveaway prize.
