Lakewood Teachers Association Gives Books Away to First Graders

To encourage reading in the district, teachers continue annual tradition of sending students home with new books.

The Lakewood Teachers Association gave away more than 50 books to first graders at on Wednesday.

But this wasn't homework.

These books — bought with donated funds by the district's teachers — are keepers.
