Lakewood Kiwanis Announces Scholarship Winners

Five high school seniors from Lakewood were each awarded a $10,000 scholarship from the Lakewood Kiwanis Club.

The winners, from the left, are Megan Marcinick, from St. Joseph Academy, who plans to attend the University of Dayton; Kaitlyn Eberl, of, who plans to attend Ohio University; Kevin Ritter, of Lakewood High School, who plans to attend Vassar College; Kathryn Burke, of St. Joseph Academy, who plans to attend Case Western Reserve University; and Grace Smith, of Lakewood High School, who plans to attend Kent State University.

The Lakewood Kiwanis Scholarship Foundation has awarded scholarships since 1954 to high school graduates who reside in Lakewood.

Since its beginning, more than $1.5 million have been awarded.
