The students at Chardon High School are known as the Hilltoppers.  Today, we wear their colors, red and black, in support of the Chardon High School students, families, staff and community.  We bond together today as a school to let Chardon students know they are not alone in the wake of the terrible tragedy that occurred earlier this week.

The flood of ideas and activities, the making of the cards and banners, the postings and prayers, and the overwhelming expression of love and support you have show this week is a testimony not only for your compassion to the community of Chardon, but to the true makeup of your own sense of unity and commitment to each other here at LHS… I cannot tell you how truly proud I am of all of you for your mature and respectful handling of the events of this week.
