Lady Rangers Basketball Squad Wins First Postseason Matchup

Lakewood girls improve to 20-3 on the season.

The Lakewood girls’ basketball team kept up its winning ways on Friday night.

The Lady Rangers beat Berea, 67-42, in the in the first round of the Division I sectional girls basketball tournament at Valley Forge High School, cleveland.com reported.

The Lakewood High squad was led by Tori Milicevic with 17 points; Erin Hoffert added 14; Maggie Rowell scored 12; and Megan Barrett tallied 10, according to the report.

“On any given night, another girl can step up and have a good night,” coach Mike Harper recently told Lakewood Patch. “Defensively, we can really get after it.”

The Lady Rangers improved to 20-3 on the season, and last week captured the team’s first conference championship in 17 years.

I wasn't at this game but I was at the LHS Hockey game when the team beat Bay to advance to the next playoff game....where is the hockey team write up????????? hmmm it's not all about Basketball and football!!!!
