Self-Awareness Series

Who Am I?

Most of us might respond to this simple yet profound question without knowing our true self.  Without being aware of it, you may take many things as your identity and find yourself saying “I am a man” or “I am a woman” or “I am a father” , “I am a nurse,” “ I am a teacher”.

However, you may not know much about your own personality and why your job  is or is not a good fit for you. More importantly, you may want to know how better to create and maintain relationships  in every area of your life.

If you are applying for a job, feeling like your current employment situation is not a good fit, or struggling with your relationships you might benefit from one of the most popular personality tests called the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Used by 89 of the Fortune 100 companies, it has been translated into 24 languages.  It is a fantastic vehicle for people to think about themselves and how others are different.

Nancy Rowell, a creative and spirited facilitator and a change agent will be offering a self-awareness series at Holistic Lakewood Shop & Wellness Center Saturday mornings from 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. starting October 13th. This 3 week series makes use of the personality indicator along with meditation and writing exercises to reflect on life experiences.

Nancy explains, “At the core, of the series is a deeper understanding and appreciation of your distinct nature and preferences.  In uncovering your own likings you also understand and more fully appreciate others, thus resulting in improved interpersonal abilities.”

In her role as a life coach, management consultant, teacher, wife, mother and spiritual guide, she invites others to authenticity and wholeness.  Her doctorate work is in leadership development. Nancy’s work focuses on the importance of personal and spiritual growth as a foundation for ethical, healthy, and productive work, relationships and community life.
