Bad Girl Ventures kicks off its fall business education series and micro-loan program

The kids aren’t the only ones going back to school this fall.

BGV is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to educating and empowering female entrepreneurs by engaging the community to support them in every aspect of their business. 

From education to financing, Bad Girl Ventures not only cultivates successful female owned businesses by providing comprehensive business education opportunities, but also helps women access capital, and surrounds the women it serves with a meaningful support network. Since its initial launch in Cincinnati, BGV has educated over 400 women, awarded over $190,000 in low-interest loans and helped secure over $1,000,000 in outside funding for female entrepreneurs throughout Ohio.

Bad Girl Ventures’ nine-week session covers everything from legal basics and accounting, to marketing and business plan development. The nine-week Bad Girl Ventures Business Curriculum is specifically designed to equip any entrepreneur with the tools they need for success!

But that isn’t all. Bad Girl Ventures also provides micro-loans and helps the finalists in its lending program secure the funding they need to get off the ground. Visit the BGV Cleveland page at www.badgirlventures.com to learn more about our class session and our lending program.

Application deadline is August 31 (apply online). Classes start on September 19, 2012 at the Lakewood campus of the University of Akron.
