US Rep. Kaptur Eyeing a Lakewood Office

A spokesman for the congresswoman told Lakewood Patch that she is looking to have a presence in Lakewood.

US Rep. Marcy Kaptur is looking for an office in Lakewood.

LoveLakewood.com first reported that Kaptur is eyeing the vacant space at the southwest corner of Marlowe and Detroit Avenues owned by the Cleveland Clinic.

Cleveland.com followed suit with the story.

The plans for that property haven't gone anywhere, and for the time being, the building will remain empty.

Kaptur spokesman Steve Fought told Lakewood Patch the congresswoman is looking to have a presence in Lakewood.

He said the space that was most-recently leased by former US Rep. Dennis Kucinich "would've been perfect," however the high-end furniture store Cotton is moving in.

The search for a suitable property continues.

What do you think? Where would be a good spot for Kaptur to set up shop?
