CORRECTION: Clifton Pointe Approved, Set to Break Ground on Phase 2

The project is expected to break ground July 24.

Correction: The approval by planning commission on Wednesday was for the subdivision of the 17 phase one units so they could be sold as fee simple townhouses.

While the first phase of the Clifton Pointe development get the green light for the subdivision to be sold as 17 "fee simple" townhomes, the developer said Phase 2 is ready to break ground.

The planning commission OK'd the final step for Phase 1 on Wednesday.

Phase Two of Clifton Pointe is expected to break ground July 24; the project is slated for completion in 2014.

With first phase of development reportedly sold out, Abode Living is working on plans to build additional units on the property most recently occupied by Irish Cottage.

The gift shop specializing in Irish gifts, closed several years ago. It’s been vacant since.
