Spin Bike Shop, Cottage of Flowers Getting Building Overhaul?

The building's owner presents plans to the city for improvements to the building at the intersection of Madison and Marlowe avenues.

The building that houses and may be getting an overhaul. 

In plan submitted to the city’s architectural board of review, the building’s owner, GB Smith, is requesting approval to a renovation to the structure’s storefront. 

According to the proposal, the project would have two phases with the first including refurbishment of the Marlowe and Madison avenues masonry wall, replacement of the rotting sill wall and installation of new windows.

The main entry at 14515 Madison Avenue would be replaced and an unused entrance at 14517 Madison Avenue would be eliminated.

In the second phase, the plans for the portion of the building that houses would be drawn up at a later date, according to the application.

The city’s architectural board of review is set to meet at at 5:30 p.m. May 10.
