A neighbor of a home near the corner of Warren Road and Leonard Avenue sent in this photo. The signs asks for neighbors to "PICK YOUR DOG'S (POOP) UP," except it doesn't say "poop." "I know there are several tenants in that house who have dogs so I'm sure the yard can get pretty full but I'm not thrilled about the profanity for the neighborhood to see," she said. "I'm sure it's frustrating though." By 2:30 p.m., the sign had been taken down. All that remained were several bags of dog excrement.

People who walk their dogs let them poop in people's yards. It's not just people living in homes with no yards. Gets me mad but there's no stopping them unless we catch them. I'm really thinking of setting up a camera for my house. Hidden.

Seems to me that LPD and AC spend too much time picking on possible bully breeds and not enforcing the existing laws. I believe there is a law that requires a dog walker to have a doggie bag visible. Slap the ones who don't with a $100 fine, and let judge Carrol waive the fine, but stipulate that they walk their street , top to bottom, both sides collecting poop. Problem solved as I do not believe they will leave home without it again. It's not the DOGS, it the BAD owners. Hear me city hall???

Are any of the residents willing to do that, or their families/friends? The oldest could sit in chairs with signs. Signs could say things like "The Westerly is throwing grandma to the curb" or "Evicted by Big Money". I'm just shooting from the hip here but you get the idea. I would come out as a supporter. I have few contacts in that building, but the two that I do have are activists. Could you organize something like this with your contacts? Look out Westerly, you will be on the news and it won't be pretty.
