Street set to be closed for 30 days as Fabrizi Trucking crews work to replace line underneath the railroad tracks.

Nicholson Avenue will be closed for 30 days as crews work to replace a water line under the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks.

City officials said the line needed replaced because of constant water main breaks in the line from Hazelwood to Merl avenues.

The total cost of the project is $138,000, according to Bill Corrigan, the division manager of engineering for the , adding that the crews from Fabrizi Trucking will bore under the tracks rather than dig up the lines.

"Depending on how long it takes to get under the tracks, it could take three weeks or more," he said.
