Peace Sculpture Planted at Lakewood Park

Lakewood Park just got a little more peaceful.

A new sculpture representing peace (very appropriate, right?), was recently planted near the Women’s Pavilion at Lakewood Park.

It will be officially unveiled on Sept. 21 , the International Day of Peace, for a special ceremony.

The sculpture, depicting a white dove, was a gift to the office of state Sen. Michael Skindell, who in turn presented it to the city.

It should also be mentioned that the Kiwanis Club of Lakewood also accepted the sculpture to be placed in the center of its Adopt-A-Spot garden in Lakewood Park.
