Lakewood City Council OKs Final Phase of Traffic Signal Project

Final portion of the project will replace signals on Detroit Avenue.

Last week, approved the third and final portion of a multi-year traffic signal replacement project.

The phase of the project will include new traffic signals — and synchronization of them — along Detroit Avenue.

The city will shoulder about 20 percent of the cost, and other agencies including the Federal Highway Administration and the Ohio Department of Transportation will pay the rest, said Ward 2 Councilman Tom Bullock.
