City Officials Hosting Forum Tonight to Discuss Historic Preservation

Meeting set to take place at the Lakewood Public Library on Aug. 17.

That was the question posed last week by Dru Siley, Lakewood’s director of planning and development, regarding the city’s future plans in preservation.

Through a press release, Siley invited members of the community to attend a workshop hosted by Mayor Michael Summers and city officials to discuss that very topic.

“Our city turned 100 this year and as we look to the next century how will the community define historic preservation?” Siley asked in the statement. “What are the tools and resources available to meet that vision? This hands-on workshop will provide a forum to share ideas.”
