Woman Robs Madison Avenue Business

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Robbery

A woman in her late-20s robbed the Leather Naturally store on Madison Avenue at around 1:30 p.m. Nov. 19. She told the store employee that she had a gun, and ordered the employee to empty the cash register. The woman fled the store, running westbound on Madison Avenue with an unreported amount of cash.

Police received a report that three men were “looking in” parked cars in the 11800 block of Clifton Boulevard at around 9 p.m. Nov. 15. When officers responded, the men took off. Officers caught up with one of the men a couple blocks away, where he was charged with obstruction of official business and dangerous drugs. 

Stolen deodorant, resisting arrest

A man was charged with petty theft and resisting arrest after then man stole deodorant from the Walgreens on Detroit Avenue at around 11 p.m. Nov. 15.

Passed out in a bathroom

A man was found passed out in a bathroom, “with needles” all around him at a business in the 16000 block of Madison Avenue at around 9:40 p.m. Nov. 16. He was taken to Lakewood Hospital. His condition was not reported.

Burglary

Police received a report that man was trying to break into an apartment in the 12000 block of Lake Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. Nov. 16. When officers showed up, the man was charged with carrying a concealed weapon.

Open containers

Two men were charged with having open containers of alcohol at the BP gas station at around 2:30 a.m. Nov. 17.
