A Bedford woman stopped by
police at Belle and Bayes avenues at around 1:30 a.m. July 30 bolted from the
traffic stop, leading police on a brief (and slow-speed) chase around Lakewood.
With two young children in the car, Lakewood police called off the chase when she got on Interstate 90.
However, the next day, Ashia Worthy, 30, turned herself in to police.
She was charged with fleeing, child endangerment and driving under suspension.
Worthy pleaded no contest and was found guilty on all three counts.
