Woman Arrested for Prostitution at Days Inn
The recent arrest comes after a 2011 sting at the hotel that netted six arrests.
After last year’s prostitution sting operation at the Days Inn netted the arrest six people, the Lakewood Police Department has made another arrest for prostitution at the motel on Lake Avenue.
A 26-year-old Cleveland woman was charged with prostitution, a third-degree misdemeanor, on Oct. 4.
She’s expected to face the charge in Lakewood Municipal Court.

“We had an undercover officer conducting an investigation and that was the location selected,” said Lakewood Police Chief Timothy Malley. “This is an ongoing investigation.”
The manager of the Days Inn declined to comment on the police investigation, but she did say “we don’t have any control over what our guests do” in their rooms.

Another employee said that he’s pleased with the police intervention, because “obviously, they’re no longer here.”
The 66-room hotel, the site of similar arrests in the past, is believed to have new owners.
