Two Lakewood Men Charged With Local Bank Robberies

The two men, former classmates at Lakewood High School, are in jail.

Two Lakewood men were arrested and charged in connection with bank robberies thanks to local police forces.

Officers arrested Daniel S. Garvey, 22, of Lakewood, at about 5:45 p.m. Thursday. Police say Garvey robbed Chase Bank in Rocky River on Dec. 14.

Shortly after making the first arrest, police went to the Lakewood home of Joshua Sobe, 22, and arrested him for driving Garvey to Chase Bank.

Police from Westlake, Cleveland and Rocky River joined officers from the Cleveland FBI office to do surveillance of a West 54th Street home in Cleveland on Thursday.
